The road to.....

The exploration of Brunei continues. LOL nah, I was with my brother and my dad after attending my nephew's wedding in Tutong. On our way back home, my brother ( a fishing addict ) insisted in showing me this 'hidden hotspot for fishing'. As so, the journey begins.... *snickers*

What I got from Oprah Magazine

I was surfing on Oprah's web and found a catchy headline. The headline says 'Men! What are they thinking?!' Of course, it got my attention, especially being the female species, in which I grew up thinking still, men are hard to understand. Sure, I've got boys as my bestfriends, but each individual is unique in their own ways. Therefore, I decided to share with you this article in which, I think is cool!

I'm in love

I was on my way back home with my baby sending me back home from work, as the song No One Else Comes Close goes on air on the radio. Its an old song and I immediately got into singing, which reminded me of the moments when me and my baby fell in love *grins*

My Song for him, also designated for when he calls :)

Beautiful Brunei

The monument for his Majesty in commemoration of his Majesty's 60th birthday

Late yesterday afternoon, I feel like having something for a bite and I wanted some place which could somehow calm my nerves, after a long day's work. Then it hit me, looking at water always left me feeling relaxed, so there, a meal by Brunei River would be perfect! So, while I was there, I took a few snaps :) Brunei is somehow, I think, still beautiful.

Mmmm...Makan

Yesterday, I had lunch with my cousin and one of my colleague at this cafe in Kiulap. The lunch was delightful!!! The owner of the place was present too, hahaha....he really made us laugh. A definite must try when you are into western dishes.

Hungry

Its not that late in the afternoon, but I was hungry. So, as my tummy ordered my brain to go hunt for food, I decided I might as well go to a fastfood joint, but alas, when I arrived, it was CLOSED! My tummy was already making rumbling sounds *snicker* But on the other hand, there were monkeys by the side of the premise, already making its debut as usual, so I decided to take pictures of the clan and then later resume hunting for food. And I decided, as much as I'm hungry, no thanks, I'm not eating monkeys :P

The 'Sifu' of the clan LOL

The 'little one' striking me a pose

The 'sifu' sniffing a panadol I threw to it

The 'special' chilli sauce which I craved for. Yum-yum!

Hide and Seek

Kicap playing choked by his collar

Last night, my cat was playing a hide-n-seek game with me. Well, it was good alright, if there wasn't a big bulge from the side of the bed, I couldn't have spot him! LOL!!! As if!!!

The Labour Department Futsal Tourney

Haha talk about delayed telecast! This is a more or less like a delayed news update! LOL!!! Anyhow, there were, I barely remember how many teams there were, but if I'm not mistaken, there were 10 teams competing. Amongst what I remember were the Karih-karihi, Black Guns, The Black Devils ( my unit's :P ) and I don't remember. It was really an very unnerving tourney LOL :P Anyhow, my unit finished 2nd place from the last *giggles* but alas, the cheers by the audience kept everyone going. In the end, the title of being the Labour Department went to the Karih-karihi team! Yay!!! Congratulations!!!

Me with 2 members from the Karih-karihi team and my boss
The Jelitawan have to be present :P

Me and my Unit.... All hail to 'The Black Devils' *giggle*

Lolling About In The Afternoon

Well, I wouldn't call it lolling about actually, *tee-hee* it was a routine monthly visit to certain premises which was indivivually assigned to each of us in my unit.

The sign by the entrance, which we somehow ignored :P

A peek of what's happening inside

The puppy which was tied to the pillar, doesn't look vicious to me

After the routine inspection, we stopped by at the nearby mosque ( pstt...toilet break ) Somehow, the entrance to the mosque left me feeling serene

I was amused, the aboulition area is equipped with a sensor, and a fountain too!

Like I Said, I WAS AMUSED! Infra-red sensors works like MAGIC!!! @_@

Back to Work!

Back to work from the longgggg..... m.c hehehe well, 4 days IS long t go on sick leave, especially when you're a workaholic!!! *grins* anyhow, there were LOADS to do when I got back. All the files were already calling out for me, flailing their arms at me ( well, metamorphically speaking, but if they had arms, that'd be really scary!!! they'd be strangling me, for not doing work!!! LOL ) I think my desk missed me most because it was dusty...I think!!!

My already cluttered desk

Yay!!! Its Dim-sum Day!!!

As usual, during these school holidays, all of the shop premises will be filled with families taking their children on an outing e.g eating and all, shopping, especially when its the start of the school holidays. Like today, me and my sisters went out to the 'Eat All You Can Dim-Sum' at Emperor's Court. It was yummy!!! Very full by the end of it *tee-hee* Its supposedly to be a father's day treat, because its father's day today but then, my dad couldn't make it because he had to go to attend his friend's daughter's wedding.

My sister with her husband and daughter

Its the 'pink ladies'!!! LOL they're both my sisters :P

Post Clinic Visit

Mm..... as usual, the post clinic visit is what I look most to. I'm used to going somewhere to eat after seeing the doctor ever since I was a kid. Normally, it was my father ( I used to call mi papa papi when i was a kid, well, sometimes, even now ) who took us to see the doctor and after that, he'd take me to eat this "Mee Basah". Very yummy. Gone were the days, makan mee basah. Yum-yum!!! Ok, I'm craving for it now...hehe :P anyhow, I took my bf to go somewhere to eat, so, off we went to this restaurant in Mentiri and sat outside.

Outside, we were then approached by a cat ( yes, the cat greeted us before the waitress did ) , which, to me looks quite handsome for a cat. Too bad, bulunya tanggal menanggal. So I thought to myself, poor cat. When our food arrived, he was busy meowing asking us to feed him and so we did. Then came another cat, also wanting us to feed her, and all of a sudden, this tom cat, scratched the poor 'girl cat'. Then it struck me, no wonder bulunya tanggal menanggal, pasal ia kuat kelayi sama kucing lain. Hehehe :P ok, I'll update again soon.

The innocent looking, handsome 'Mafia' Cat

I noticed something when it meowed, then I saw it. No front teeth!!! Well, not totally nada but the other upper fang isn't present. Tee-hee!!! Meow Mafia jua banar!!!

Clinic Visits

Being sick, I dread it. Who doesn't?  I can't do anything normally ( well its not that I became retarded or disabled when I'm sick ) Its just that, I cannot go anywhere like the norm and hence, the clinic visit became my 'sickly routine' *snickers* Upon arrival, I was greeted by this blue poster of the Tobacco Order which was enforced on the 1st of June 2008. I'm in awe to the response of the public to this order which was recently enforced. It just struck to me, maybe because this is a clinic, that's why they complied to it but unlike the people who make their normal visits to the place where I work, its just annoying. They'd just puff away without realizing others within their crowd.

Anyhow, I think ( well, not I think, I WAS late ), there was a long queue already ahead of me. Imagine, the nurses summoning other patients before me to the traige area was just up to number 54 and my number was 84 :( boo-hoo.... Lucky I've got this favourite book of mine with me to keep me occupied while waiting for my turn. 15 minutes, not even close. 30 minutes, "THUD"!!! It was this 3-4 year old girl who fell. She did went crimson in the face, trying her best not to cry. 45 minutes, nada. 1 hr, finally summoned to the triage area. 15 minutes later, finally my turn! Yay me!!! :P

The aftermath of seeing the practioner, is to collect all the medications that was prescribed. And so, as I happily walk down the stairs, there, I was greeted by a massive ( now massive is an exaggeratement :P ) by quite a number of people also waiting for their names to be announced by the pharmacist. Anyhow, my turn eventually came after quite a moment of waiting. Quite a long day at the clinic, I'd say. Will update later.

ITS NATIONAL DOUGHNUTS DAY!!!

Reading about it just made my jaw drop and my mouth water.....'mm.....Doughnuts....' hehehe I can imagine the 'Homer Simpson look' whenever he does that ;) Never really crossed my mind that there really was a national doughnuts day. I can imagine...the taste.... mm... soft, yummy.... tho a bit oily. Sinful but very satisfying! Mm.... All Hail!!! Its National Doughnuts Day!!!

Best of Friends

Its funny how life is. I missed hanging out with my bestfriends, spending time, but if we do hang out, there is A LOT of catching up to do. The funny thing is, we live in the same district, even the same catchment area, but we do not really have the time to hang-out like we used to. Life has taken a toll on all of us where all three of us are busy with our commitments, WORK. And it dawned to me, how all the 3 of us have grown up :) Anyhow, I miss you girls *mwahz*

Roses and Giraffes

You might be wondering why I named my blog Roses and Giraffes LOL.... It represents my love/passion for roses ( I oh....soooo.... Love roses ) and Giraffes ( I do....too bad I can't have one ) but I do have a cat which I named 'Kicap'. A dat one that is, and lazy too. Loves lazing around the house since he is a home-bound cat along with my sister's cat which is its loyal side-kick ( since they're the only two cats around the house ) named 'Phoebe' , which both aren't allowed to go out because feared that they'd be attacked by hound dogs *shivers* anyhow, I'll update again soon, I'm all worn out from today's hectic activities. Catch you soon.... *mwahz*
